Inquiry into Language
We took our mid review spelling test today. I chose 10 of our previous spelling words for the test today. After I taught students what a verb is and how it is an action. I showed them different actions by doing jumping jacks, running, kicking, and moving. I gave them a Halloween verb worksheet where they had to circle words that are verbs.
Math
We learned about how to tell time! I passed arounf my clock in class so students can see. I told them that the numbers inside the clock are the hours and the numbers outside are the minutes. We went over the short hand on the clock is for the hour and the long hand is for the minutes. I drew a big clock on the board to help them. I asked some students to come up on the board to tell what time it was and write it on the board. After we worked on writing the time with a Halloween worksheet |I had.

Science Experiment!
Our science experiment is called sink or swim the food edition. The purpose of this experiment was to see what type of foods sunk to the bottom of the plastic cup and what foods float in the plastic cup. They had cheese puffs, a kit kat, bread, marshmallows, and pretzels for this experiment. First I got the students to write their hypothesis of what foods they thought would sink or swim. Next I got the students to be in to two groups, Team A and Team B. Each person got to drop some food in our plastic cups. One student form each team checked off if the food did sink or swim. After the students observed what the food looked like while in the water. The students had a lot of fun with this!
Unit of Inquiry
We continued working on our If I were a dinosaur activity. I took pictures of some students for their dinosaur heads!
