It will take us a week or so to see some fossil I think! After we continued with our If i were a dinosaur paper. Students who were done their rough draft worked on their good copy. Students wrote about what they dinosaur would look like.
French
Next we had French with Mlle Jessica! You can check out her blog at http://mllehousja.blogspot.com/
Math
We started our new unit today which is time, temperature, and money. The first thing we are working on is time. In page 58 in our math workbooks we did three activities each for one minute. The students wrote down how many times they did the activities in that one minute.
Next we worked on page 60 where we we wrote down what we thought would take days, hours, minutes, or seconds. The last page we worked on was page 59 where the students had to come up with three activities of their own and try to do it for a minute. Students either got me to time them or asked one of their classmates to count. Students know that 60 seconds is one minute. Some held their breath, some drank their water bottles, some counted colour pencils. They thought of some great things!!!
Gym
After first lunch and recess the students had gym with Ms. Yustin. You can check out her blog at http://sjaayustin.blogspot.com
Music
The students had music with Mr. Flower. You can check out his blog at http://flowermusicsja.blogspot.com
Inquiry into Language
We read chapters 7 and 8 in our Dinosaurs Before Dark book. Im losing my voice a bit so our learning support teacher Ms.S stepped in and read to the class for me! We answered questions in our booklets after! In the two chapters we heard about Tyrannosauruses Rex and Anatosaureses.
Inquiry into Language
We continued to work on our good copies of If I were a dinosaur! We made sure we had proper spelling, Capitol letters at the start of our sentence, a period at the end of our sentence, and neat handwriting. After the students got draw their dinosaur with the features they wrote about on their paper. I will take a picture of their heads and paste them to their dinosaurs tomorrow!
