Mr. Conte's Grade Five class came in today for reading buddies! The students were very happy to see them!

Math
We worked with money again today. Students had to figure out what coins to use for a teddy bear that waqs 83 cents and a car that was 37 cents. We did the first one as a class and the students worked on the last one by themselves. I

Inquiry into Language
We learned what an adjective was. Students know that an adjective is used to describe a noun. We looked at different words that can be used as adjectives. We looked words we can touch, see. smell, and hear. After I split the class into groups and gave them a picture from a book. They had to use adjectives to describe the word shown.
World Kindness Day
We talked about different acts of kindness we could do and why it is important to be kind to everyone. Students received hands and wrote acts of kindness on them. We also talked about what we would do if we saw someone being unkind to others. We all said we would stop it and tell them that is not the right thing to do.
