Inquiry into language
We continued our novel study Dinosaurs Before Dark. We read chapter two and worked on our booklet in class. Students had to find out what dinosaur Jack and Annie saw. It was  a Pteranodon!!!

Unit of Inquiry
In the morning we talked about features of a dinosaur and how they looked like. After I had the students make their own dinosaurs!! They drew and coloured all the features they wanted on them.

In the afternoon we talked about what carnivores, herbivores, and omnivores are.  I began the lesson asking the students if they knew what a carnivore, herbivore, and a omnivore were. We looked at different cards of different dinosaurs to see which were carnivores, herbivores, and omnivores. While we were looking, we got our worksheet and wrote down what dinosaur belonged in each category. Carnivores are meat eaters, omnivores eats plants and animals, and a herbivore eats plants.
