Math
We worked on doubles today! I explained to the class a double means two of the same thing! I showed an example of two pink markers. I told them that this is a double because there are two of them and they are exactly alike. They are a pink and white marker. After I did that the students picked up things around the class and showed me examples of doubles!! I loved that they took initiative. We worked in our math workbooks of making doubles of different objects and then making a number sentence.

So in one carton there is 6 eggs and the students had to draw another 6 eggs in the other carton to make it double. At the bottom they made a number sentence that said 6+6=12!

Gym
After first lunch and recess the students had gym with Ms. Yustin. You can check out her blog at http://sjaayustin.blogspot.com

Music
The students had music with Mr. Flower. You can check out his blog at http://flowermusicsja.blogspot.com

Inquiry into Language
We worked on on what we need to make a proper list! I told the students the first thing they needed was to write the date. Next they needed to write the title of their list and finally to write out their list and number it.  We made a classroom rules list on the board and then we did another list which were about vegetables. The students wrote their vegetable list in their journals while I wrote it on chart paper. This is to prepare them for their OWA assessments.

Unit of Inquiry
