Day 4


Every Friday there will be a spelling test for the words of the week. Every Monday students will bring the words home in their agendas. They will also bring their spelling words journal home. In the journal the students are to write each of their spelling words in a sentence. The journal will be due back on Fridays.

Agenda
  • Bring BBQ money and form due September 14th 
  • Do spelling sentences
  • Read 15 minutes 
I also put their reading log folder in their green courier bag. Parents please write in what they read, how long they read, and sign off on it. I will put a sticker on their sticker chart and when filled they will get a prize! If you have any reading logs at home please put them in the folder. Just let me know if you need a new one and I will put it in for you.

Learner Profile of the month- Inquiry
We continued with reading Curious George! After the students worked on our Inquirer worksheet! Some students drew Curious George doing various things  from our story to illustrate being an inquirer. We will finish these worksheets tomorrow.

Math
We learned about patterns and how they repeat! We also learned about attributes and pattern cores. After we worked in our workbooks.

Inquiry into Language
We worked in our spelling books today. We worked words that start with s,t, and b.



Unit of Inqury 
Continuing with rules and responsibilities we created rules for recess! Students are doing a great job creating rules and explaining why these rules are important.
