Day 18

Orange shirt day!
Orange shirt day was about recognizing  when the indigenous people were taken away from their families and sent to residential schools. The last residential school to be closed in Canada was back in 1996, that wasn't that long ago. We wear orange shirts to symbolize the importance that every child matters. It does not matter where they come from, what they look like, what religion they practice. We all have a right to live in this land.
