Daily Five
This morning I gave the students an option to read by themselves, read with a partner, or I read a story to them. I read Jay Jay The Jet Plane. Reading the story we talked about us growing and changing and why it is a good thing. We also talked about how important it is to do your responsibilities. After I was going to read an Arthur book and decided to play the Arthur theme song. We did a little dancing and then played freeze dance!!

Math
We continued our review for our math test on Friday. We worked on venn diagram worksheets. In one circle it had wears glasses and the other said female. We wrote down the names of people who wear glasses in one part and wrote down the names of those who were female in the other. Then we talked what goes in the middle of the diagram. I explained to students that in the venn diagram, those who have the same thing in both circles goes in the middle. So I asked the students who wears glasses and are female, that person was named Anna. I said she has the same thing in both circles so she will goin the middle. We worked on another venn diagram worksheet and will continue tomorrow.

Inquiry into Language
We talked about telling sentences again today! I showed the students my cell phone and told them to tell me things about it. I wrote them on the board and told them a telling sentence needs a capitol letter at the start of the sentence and a period at the end. We worked in our sentence booklet after. If the students were done I gave them a printing workbook to practice writing numbers and letters in print.
Unit of Inquiry
